Not an impressive group. From a distance, they’re not handling the dispute well. Brent Assink told me that Minnesota has the fewest Juilliard graduates of any American orchestra. Minnesota has too many musicians from schools that don’t produce top players. Is it true that Cynthia Phelps was the last Mnnesota musician able to move up? That was more than 20 years ago.
