I Guess We Get Out More Than I Thought

Sometimes it seems as if Andrew and I never go to the theater because we can’t find anything we want to see.

This morning I was filing away our theater programs, and I could not help but notice that we have attended quite a few theater performances, all in all, in the last twenty months—23 performances in total, a larger number than I had realized.

Light In The Piazza (New York)
Hamlet (Minneapolis)
Doubt (New York)
Faith Healer (New York)
The History Boys (New York)
Hairspray (New York)
Noises Off (Hamburg)
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (In German) (Hamburg)
The Glass Menagerie (Minneapolis)
A Thousand Clowns (Minneapolis)
The Madwoman Of Chaillot (Minneapolis)
Funny Girl (Minneapolis)
Major Barbara (Minneapolis)
1776 (Minneapolis)
Private Lives (Minneapolis)
The Woman In Black (London)
Awake And Sing (London)
The Last Confession (London)
In Celebration (London)
The Dresser (Minneapolis)
Speed The Plow (Minneapolis)
King Lear (Minneapolis)
The Seagull (Minneapolis)

Maybe we are not as boring as I thought.

  1. Joshua, you and Andrew are anything BUT boring.

Take no heed of what other people think or say.

    Let them eat cake!!!

  2. Hey, Chanteuse!

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts, but I need to tell you something.

After considerable effort, I finally reached Cheryl Studer. Once I reached her, what did she do? She hung up on me!

I think she thought I was boring.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  3. Oh, no!

Perhaps Ms. Studer have been eavesdropping on us making fun of her!

What are you guys doing this chilly Mid-western weekend?

Me? Just staying at home, stuffing myself with comfort food.

  4. Chanteuse, I AM starting to worry that Miss Studer HAS been monitoring our conversations.

In fact, her lawyer is probably preparing a threatening letter, to be sent to each of us, this very afternoon!

Andrew and I did laundry this morning and cleaned the apartment. In a little while, we are going to go out and play basketball and do our food shopping.

Then we are going to come back home and wait for the arrival of the letter from Miss Studer's lawyer.

We'll let you know when we get our copy of the letter. Please do the same.

Otherwise, enjoy your weekend, "Carmen" and comfort food and all.

    Andrew says "Hello".

  5. That is totally possible, Joshua.

She HAS probably bugged my phone line all this time!

We must end this at once!

    Enjoy you basketball. Hey, Andrew!

  6. Chanteuse, if Miss Studer is going to start pulling legal shenanigans, so am I.

I am going to countersue her for intentional infliction of emotional distress, based upon her rudely hanging up on me.

I was never so upset in my life!
